Nigerian, Lagos-based singer Oxlade ‘s real name Ikuforiji Abdulrahman Olaitan is

currently one of the young new stars of the Nigerian and African music industry.

Oxlade posted on his Instagram this afternoon after being picked up by police after a “stop

and search” routine yesterday.

The driver who had been with Oxlade on social media when he was picked up had elevated an warning.

Oxlade said “they ‘re doing the most” before disclosing that when he was picked up the

police officer walked through his phone and checked for the words, “dollars” and

“transactions” in WhatsApp messenger, he also claimed he was being asked to have the

Skype app on his computer.

Afternoon.

Looking back at his fast rising career  the young independent artiste dropped his first body of work some months back and one the most popular songs on that EP is titled Away which had and is still enjoying massive air Play across major radio stations in Nigeria.

On the digital front the EP has racked in millions of streaming numbers for a new artiste in the Nigerian Music scene.
