NUC orders universities to stop academic activities

The Nationwide Fee on Universities (NUC) ordered college vice-rectors to cease tutorial actions amid the rise in COVID-19 instances.

Chris Maiyaki, Deputy Government Secretary (Administration), signed the round.

School rooms, lodging in hostels, conferences and seminars have to be suspended.

Maiyaki instructed universities to stay closed and await additional directions.

“Vice-chancellors should observe that the rule is a part of the measures accredited by the President to mitigate the second wave of Coronavirus infections within the nation.

“The affected cops are anticipated to carry out their duties at house, whereas these on GL 13 and above should strictly adhere to present preventive measures,” he stated.

On December 22, the federal authorities ordered GL 12 and underneath civil servants to remain at house for 5 weeks.
