Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde just lately accessed her Twitter web page to disclose that she registered the title ‘Omotola’ and that is producing a buzz.
Legally, a registered trademark is a phrase, phrase, image or design, or a mixture of them, that identifies and distinguishes the origin of a registered trademark.
On this case, the actress seems to have registered ‘Omotola’ as a trademark of her enterprise, which signifies that another person can not use it for enterprise.
In response to this, Nigerians suppose that the actress was being unfair, since ‘Omotola’ is a quite common Yoruba title, see some reactions under;
It even sounds egocentric for the OMOTOLA trademark when so many Yoruba girls / ladies carry it. Wateva ended the OMOSEXY trademark that she carries alone

So, after being away in motion for years, is that this the most effective you are able to do? What’s Omotola that you’ve as a trademark? I need to imagine that you’ve accomplished some tasks that we’ve not heard about.
