Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger, has revealed that he won’t be distracted by the antics of Luiz Suarez as Chelsea seems ahead to securing a quarter-final spot through the second-leg of the round-16 stage conflict towards Athletico Madrid.
Throughout the first-leg encounter towards the La Liga league chief’s, Luis Suarez pinched Rudiger’s thigh when Chelsea edged out Atletico 1-Zero in Bucharest.
However talking in an interview, Rudiger intimated that he won’t be distracted by Suarez as he holds no motive of searching for revenge for the Urugyuan earlier assault on him.
“He defends his patch, I defend mine, that is all,” stated Rudiger. “I’m going with no feeling of any strain for revenge or something like this.
“I’m simply focussed on our targets and that’s to win the sport and get by as a result of Atletico will not be solely Luis Suarez.”
Suarez has been banned 3 times in his profession for biting, together with the incident with Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini on the 2014 World Cup.
The Uruguay ahead has struck 18 objectives for Atletico since leaving Barcelona. And Rudiger insists the 34-year-old stays among the many world’s greatest strikers.
“Actually, he’s a world-class participant,” stated Rudiger. “He’s proven it at each membership he has been at in Europe. He’s a really, excellent participant and he has a variety of combat in him and clearly, he’s a high opponent. He simply defends his patch by attempting to combat for his crew.”
